Ok, for real though. You may have seen my recap for my Chicago birthday weekend (it was SO fun!) but what we really need to talk about is this SUPER fun morning shooting with Chicago photographer Iron & Honey at the Greetings from Chicago mural in Logan Square.
Megan, from Greetings from TX & I had a blast all weekend, and this shoot was kind of the cherry on top.
I am wearing a Gentle Fawn dress that I bought this very weekend at a boutique in Bucktown, with a denim jacket because it was fffffffffffffffreezing. Megan, Shannon and I went shopping the day we arrived and happened upon a very cute boutique on Milwaukee (that I’m 99% sure was called Emma but I can’t find a website). Edited to add, per Megan’s feedback: Upon entering the store I loudly proclaimed “What IS this place?” It was a good question, because I liked what I saw. I’m so happy Shannon encouraged me to try on this dress. It’s flowy but has great shape, easy to dress up or down, and has some great open stitch details down the sleeve. My standby open toe Vince booties are sold out! so here are some similar ones.
I carried my Coach mini saddle bag which is the perfect size for an iPhone, wallet, and lipgloss. It also has a nice weight to the chain, so it helps to add definition to a loose fitting dress. Have you checked out Coach’s line lately? It’s really incredible – less of the C branding and more leather and style, like this “whiplash” bag!
Accessories include my always-present sunnies and this beautiful XOXO necklace that was a birthday gift from my dear friend Shelane. I LOVE it, and the company In God We Trust, makes so many versions, including some cheeky ones. Check them out!
