Hey mamas, I have to share this with you all. Yesterday I headed to a shopping center near our house to find a new top to wear to an event. I had the look of the top I wanted in mind, and I was trying desperately to avoid the mall, but after walking through several stores and not seeing what I was looking for, I popped into one on my way back to my car. I saw the top I had in mind immediately and I was kind of blown away by the styles in general. TRUE STORY: I looked up to see what store I was in – it was Ann Taylor. I don’t know about you, but Ann Taylor hasn’t been on my radar in years, not since I worked in downtown Chicago right out of college and purchased most of my suiting from there.
WOW – what a difference from the last time I was in one of their stores, especially with their holiday collection. Here’s the top I purchased, and wore last night with leather leggings and a purple rabbit fur vest. The sheer-nees of the top helped keep me from boiling over and the dotted sleeves were a pretty addition. For a size check, I purchased a Petite Small. The sleeves on the regular Small were too long, but the XS was too tight across my bust. The Petite Small was a perfect fit, so I think their clothes run true to size/on the bigger side, so you may want to size down if you’re between sizes or try the Petite.
I also purchased this eyelet sleeve sweater from the sale section for 50% off and already wore it. A perfect basic with a cool detail.
I literally snapped pictures with my iPhone of some of my favorite items so I could share with you all! These pieces look so luxe, so on trend, and best of all – the prices are GREAT. I also happen to know that they will be on major sale come Black Friday, so score all of these at a big discount in just a few days (or, as most stores allow, purchase now and bring back your receipt for a price adjustment. Some stores are AMAZING and will give you a price adjustment over the phone if you have your receipt code, etc. Be sure to ask the store their policy BEFORE you do this, do not just take my word for it!)
Anyhow, on to my top picks, including a similar blouse with a tie neckline.
Fringe Sweater Skirt // Blouse (the one I bought) // Pleated Skirt (wear with a slim fit top) // Studded Clutch // GORGEOUS shoes // Sequin Collar Top (this is very pretty in person and also comes in a lovely blush color) // Tie Neck Blouse // Faux Fur Scarf // Sequin Shoulder Sweater (so pretty, I almost bought this, too!)
PS: This cover picture is an iPhone snap of their in-store ad, further proof that Ann Taylor is kind of knocking it out of the park!
PPS: This post is not sponsored in any way! All of my sponsored posts are always my true and honest opinion, regardless, but this one is just a labor of love.
