Look who was spotted in PaperCity – that’s us! Our handsome little boys walked the runway for the Houston Symphony’s brunch earlier this spring. It was such a fun morning to spend with our family and tons of friends. My heart nearly burst out of my chest when I saw my sweet boys walk out on the stage all dressed up. I just love siblings in matching outfits!
In our home, any clothes with a collar or a proper waistband (read: not yoga pants or pull on pants for the kids) are declared “handsome clothes”, as in clothes we wear to church, on chapel day at school, restaurants, etc. My boys are pretty hard on their clothing and are always spilling or getting paint on themselves, so our closets are mostly stocked with play clothes. For their big runway debut, though, I just had to chose a handsome outfit for the special occasion.
I immediately was drawn to the orange and blue Andy & Evan button down from Neiman Marcus. I paired with simple flat-front chinos and some cute shoes, et voila! Handsome boys. This shirt worked for Easter and for family photos, so we’re really getting good use out of it. Dress shoes are another seldom-used clothing item in my boys’ closets, but I was lucky to find some cute low-top canvas sneakers from Gap for my little guy.
You’ll also notice their tucked in shirts didn’t make it from original picture to runway time. Boys!
