When I was little, we’d wake up on Christmas morning at our house and around lunchtime head over to my grandparents’ house to celebrate with our extended family. Spending the holiday with all of my cousins and aunts and uncles was such the norm, that I didn’t even realize how special it is to have a big loving family or just how much I missed it until we moved away from Chicago.
I talked to my Grandma on the phone yesterday and she was busy making lasagnas for 31 people. AH! I love that the tradition is still going strong and the next generation of cousins get to spend tomorrow afternoon together. I’m sending all my love!
And if I *was* to join my big Italian family this Christmas, here is the perfect outfit of what I would wear! Comfy, stretch, yet festive and pretty. Leather leggings, easy booties, and this perfect sweater topper. It’s warm enough for a coat here in Texas, but great as an inside layer in the rest of the country. Worn buttoned or open, it’s the loveliest item in my closet right now.
Thank you to J.Jill for this beautiful sweater coat, and to Kate Robinson for the photography!
