What a thrill it was to co-host the Macy’s Fall Fashion event with Joy Sewing from the Houston Chronicle this week. The entire store was a buzz with the event. There was a live fashion sketch artist, mini beauty services from Lancome and OPI, a fun American Express photo station, a custom engraved necklace with purchases of $75 or more from the Women’s Fashion Department, and giveaways for The Phantom of the Opera front row tickets at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts and a gift card to MyStylist, Macy’s in-house (and free!) stylist service.
I was a lucky girl and was outfitted by MyStylist in head-to-toe Macy’s, including my gorgeous makeup from the artists at Lancome. My printed dress is by Maison Jules and in a lovely medium-tone brown color. The fit and slight flare is pretty and sweet, and gets a little edge when topped with the faux fur vest by Vince Camuto. It’s SO warm, y’all! I can’t wait to wear this when the weather breaks in Houston.
Let’s get to some of those Fall Trends that we saw on the runway. Here are some of my favorite looks from the show.
Let’s start with some of the must haves for fall: the cape and fringe! I love the way she is wearing double fringe on both her bootie and her handbag. The mix of patterns with her cape and shirt are on-point with the distressed denim.
I just love this look – it’s perfect for running around town while looking fantastic at the same time. The poacher jacket is definitely a must have for fall, and I like the way this outdoors-inspired jacket is paired with an above-the-knee shirt dress and open toed bootie. The whole look is smart & trim.
Gorgeous! This menswear inspired but oh-so-feminine sheath dress by CeCe by Cynthia Steffe is topped with the light wool coat for a perfect transitional look. My face cracks me up in the background, that is the “mmmmm-hmmmm” approval face!
We can’t forget about the littles! Hello Kitty is all the rage for fall. I love this tutu dress paired with a moto-boot.
It was so great to see the lovely faces behind Cup of Charisma and Observant Turtle sitting in the front row. Thanks so much for the support, ladies!
Get the look! I’ve linked all of these outfits directly to Macy’s – – – and several are currently on sale!
