As a J.Jill Life Styler, I keep up to date with their new looks and was very excited when I saw the New Easy line for January/February 2015. It’s full of soft knits and casual accessories that are easy to throw on and give you a polished yet carefree look. The moment I laid my eyes on the bucket bag in saddle I knew I had to have it, and it may just be my favorite new accessory.
The large-sized bag is lightweight and big enough to fit everything a busy mama needs, including sticks, a partially-used Power Ranger napkin, and gosh knows whatever what the boys tuck into my bag. There is a magnetic snap at the top as well as the drawstring so everything stays safely inside the bag. The leather is butter soft and any scratches or scuffs you get on the bag add to the loved-in look. The adjustable strap allows you to wear it long or cross-body, which is how I like it – hands free! The color and style is incredibly versatile and can be dressed up or down and work with a variety of colors.
The saddle color looks fantastic with navy blue. I paired the large cross body bag with a studded dress by Nicole Miller and Valentino heels for a recent morning event (both scored for a steal last season but get a similar look with a navy long sleeved dress and match the tone of the saddle bag with a pointy toe pump to dress it up).
I also like the combination of the mid-tone brown with black and denim, such as this striped tunic, also by J.Jill. The top is soft and easy to throw on over leggings or denim. In this casual run-around-town look, I’m pairing the J.Jill tunic with MOTHER Denim skinny jeans and the Splendid bootie (on sale right now for just $78!). I have a pair of Classic Ray-Ban Wayfarer sunglasses in the J.Jill large bucket bag to complete the look. The wooden heel on the bootie picks up the brown tone of the bag and makes the whole outfit cohesive. And of course, my three year old in a full face hug is the best accessory of all!
Thanks to J.Jill for having me style these gifted items. I was able to pick out the items that represent my personal style and create a look around them. I am under no obligation to review these items and only share with you what I experience and love in real life.
