It’s Fall: bring on the plaid! I like mixing a button down with a little sparkle. It’s unexpected yet goes together perfectly. For this look, I’m wearing the yarn dyed plaid shirt in Spruce from J.Jill and pairing it with a gorgeous Loren Hope necklace from my current Rocksbox collection. Add my workhorse Mother skinny denim and the Steve Madden Stecy heel in nude patent, and I’m out the door in no time.
This look is easy, breezy everyday running around town with style. I’m wearing heels, but you can easily switch out to a pair of flats if that’s more comfortable for you, mama. I wear lots of flats so I can easily keep up with kids, but at 5 foot tall, a heel makes me feel slimmer and more dressed.
Isn’t this wall fun? It’s in Highland Village on the north side of the shopping center. These iron X’s are three dimensional and very cool.
Another favorite for Fall is this Crossbody by Coach and it goes so well with this look. It’s neutral in color and has some cool leather details. It’s small, but fits keys and an iPhone and some hand sanitizer…my most important items, haha!
One of my favorite parts about this shirt is the tab behind the buttons – there’s no PEEK! of skin or bra if the shirt pulls across the bust. The design is kind of genius and I wonder why all button downs don’t have this feature.
Big thanks to Rocio Carlon Studios for this great photoshoot. I love practically every picture she takes, and we have such a great time shooting (there’s probably a correlation between the two!).
Big thanks to J.Jill, I absolutely love working with their fabulous team and having a blast being a Life Styler for their brand. Their clothes are on-trend, well made, and so comfortable. I’m loving their October and November collections and will be showing you more of my favorite pieces over the next few days. This shirt was my #1 pick and I hope you like the way I styled it!
