This Sunday Style is inspired by my new J.Jill striped knit sweater. I haven’t met a boatneck sweater that I didn’t love, and this one is pretty much perfect. The stripes on the arms are a bit smaller and closer together than they are on the torso, creating a cool effect.
The sweater is soft and smooth, and a good heavy weight for winter (although as I’m shared before, I think we’ve wrapped on winter in Houston). I love the zipped shoulder detail, and the preppy boxy fit looks good with a skinny distressed jean, OR this sweater would be gorgeous with a high-waisted flare jean. I’m a bit short for the flares, but a wider leg is coming back, so best to prepare yourself for the coming trend.
I give my denim a quick roll and pair it with some comfy kicks. These Superga sneakers are on heavy rotation right now. I’m wearing them with everything from tunic length dresses to workout wear. I found a no-show sock that doesn’t slip, too!
Top this off with a mom-approved carryall, like the Vera Bradley Studded bag. Speaking of heavy rotation, I haven’t been without this bag for the last few months, and it looks as great as it is useful.
It’s the weekend – let’s have some fun!

Big love to the talented Rocio Carlon for these photos! Thanks to the wonderful team at J.Jill for the beautiful sweater. I’m such a fan of their clothing and love being a J.Jill Life Styler and able to bring you these style posts and tips!
