I learned about Arbonne through my best friend, Aileen, when she became an independent consultant in 2006. It’s a health and wellness company with tons of products from makeup and skin care to nutrition supplements and weight loss. She was instantly drawn to the health and beauty products but even more so to the culture of the company, so she became a consultant herself. We’ve been friends since we were in grade school, so I can tell you just about everything about this girl, but one thing stands out these days – Arbonne has changed her life. She is so empowered, motivated, and excited. It makes me so happy to see her so happy and I want to do everything I can to support her dream, so I became an instant Arbonne product junkie.
Over the years I have tried a bunch of products, and several have become part of my permanent line, or as my sister, Emily, would say, part of my “curated collection” of products. If you want to try any of these or learn any more, just contact Aileen and she’ll be happy to get you more info. She is always running specials and has tons of samples, too.
1) Ready-to-drink protein shakes
The ready-to-drink shakes are amazing. They are seriously so good – thick and sweet with no chemical taste or grit. I like to keep them in the refrigerator and grab one to go on busy mornings. They are vegan – using pea protein – which is great for my lactose-intolerant belly. I also have the big bag of protein shake mix and one bag has lasted me more than two months so far and I’ve barely put a dent in it, so the powder is definitely a good value. I make a blender full every morning for my kids. I start with a ripe banana, add milk (my kids drink 2 percent but soy, almond, coconut, or any other alt milk is just as delicious) and about 3/4 scoop of the protein powder and blend it for 30 seconds or so. They call it “juice” and guzzle it down.
2) Baby line
This is GREAT gift for new moms. I actually received it the first time as a gift from Aileen’s mom. The body wash, baby lotion, and diaper rash cream are my favorites. My boys get terrible diaper rash (well, Bennett is potty trained now, but Graham is still in diapers) and I love that I could use a natural diaper rash cream that was actually effective. They smell so good – kind of like a subtle cinnamon/sweet botanical scent. The bottles are a good size and last a long time – in fact, the baby oil is so huge that I still have the first one I received four years ago!
3) FC5 Skin Conditioning Oil
This little tube of oil is a gem. The packaging has recently been updated and improved, which is great because it does not leak or seep oil at all. I keep it in my bag and am constantly finding a place to dab some on. After that recent (mistake) gel manicure? C-section scar? Random dry spots that show up on my face, scalp, arms (what ARE those?!) – a drop or two of this oil smooths and soothes and, possibly best of all, keeps me from picking, and I am a champion picker.
There’s a million more – these are just a few that I rave about. Check Arbonne out and let me (or Aileen) know if you want to learn more. In fact, I told her that I wanted to write about a few of the products, and she was so pumped that she is going to offer 20 percent to anyone who mentions this Luxe…With kids article.
