I have a picky eater – he’s been this way since about a year and a half old, and at six he hasn’t changed much. What works best for our family (not saying this is the only way) is to not stress too much about it! I don’t want food to become a heavy issue in our home or for every meal to be a struggle, so I offer healthy choices and I let him eat how much he’d like. I also get my boys involved in cooking with me. I find that if they pick out the vegetables at the market they are more likely to try them once we get them home. I am hoping that by continuing to model healthy eating habits and to offer plenty of healthy options at meal times that he will become more adventurous in his eating, but until then I know he’s getting enough food and the nutrients he needs by supplementing with a vitamin.
Our vitamin of choice is the Yummi Bears Organics Multi-Vitamin by Hero Nutritionals, the first and only organic and GMO-free gummy vitamin for children. Not only does this vitamin make me feel confident that it’s full of the vitamins that he needs to grow big and strong, but it’s also free of all the yucky stuff he doesn’t need, like artificial colors or preservatives.
When I heard about Hero Nutritionals Picky Eater Approved Recipe Guide, I knew I’d want to share it with you all, especially if you, like me, have a picky eater (or two) at home. The free guide is full of tips, tricks and recipes for breakfast, lunch & dinner. It’s a great resource and I hope you all like it as much as I do.
Hero Nutritionals also has a Picky Eater Approved Lunchbox essentials giveaway going on right now on Instagram through Friday – go enter!
