1. Hygge, pronounced pronounced HOO-gah, it’s the Danish concept that life should be full of comfort and taking pleasure in the simple things of life. I absolutely LOVE it, maybe because I’m a Taurus, here’s some more info and suggestions on how to create Hygge in your home.
3. Side Tables from West Elm. I mean, WEST ELM for the WIN! Their designs and prices are not to be beat. I can’t decide which side table I want – this or this. I need a tiny table to fit in between two side chairs and I’m torn between the black marble topped table and the agate topped table. I think they both embody a little Hygge, what do you think?
4. The Hormone Reset Diet book by Sara Gottfried, MD. I just participated in a group cleanse following this book by my dear friend Michelle Mansfield, an integrative nutrition health coach with wicked knowledge on the topic. She created the most supportive online group of women for our three week journey, and I can say that although it was pretty challenging, it was eye opening and so worth it. I think I’m going to have to write more on this topic soon, but in the meantime, read the book!
5. Art by Joanna Posey. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ll know that we just purchased the most perfect painting for our dining room from Joanna Posey and it literally makes me swoon every time I look at it.
I started following Joanna on Instagram when a mutual friend (shout out to MB!) posted a photo with one of Joanna’s paintings in the background, and when I saw the painting in the picture in this post (credit: Joanna Posey) I knew it was the one for us. Her personality is as vibrant and special as her work, too. I can’t say enough about her. BUY REAL ART!
And also, the power of word of mouth/referral from a friend is how I found out about half of the items on this list, which is why I LOVE to share with you, too! Keep the positive and the good stuff coming.
So besides kids, husband, and work work work work work, this is what is on my mind these days. What’s new and exciting for YOU?
