Urban Remedy is a line of raw, ready-to-eat snacks, meals, cold-pressed juices and energy boosting tinctures founded by licensed acupuncturist, herbalist, and certified Chinese nutritionist Neka Pasquale, with the idea that a healthy diet equals vibrant health.
Urban Remedy has a simple philosophy: food is healing. Everything you find at Urban Remedy is Certified Organic, Non-GMO, Vegan, Low-Glycemic and Gluten Free. Their collection of juices, juice cleanses, meals and snacks, meal plans, and teas are all lovingly created to fuel your body with natural energy and nutrition. Whether you’re looking for a full cleanse or to add some healthy juices and/or read-to-eat meals to your diet, Urban Remedy offers foodie-worthy options for every nutritional need, schedule and budget.
As a busy mama, I’m immediately drawn to their healthy meal plans. They arrive fresh and cold with a 3-day supply of nutritionally balanced juices, snacks and meals. It’s a perfect mix of sip and chew – something very important to me as I can’t get hangry with two little boys needing my attention and energy. The cost for the meal plans includes shipping and you receive everything you need to re-set your diet. You choose the meal plan right for you: anti-inflammatory Beauty, boosting Immunity or detoxifying Metabolism. In 2012, supermodel Cindy Crawford was introduced to Urban Remedy juices by a friend and loved it so much she became a spokesperson and has a signature meal plan. I know, I know, it’s practically like Cindy and I are BFFs now. But seriously, what a wonderful compliment for a strong, smart and beautiful woman like Cindy to not only endorse but create a plan.
Look at the bountiful rainbow of healthy goodness we received from Urban Remedy! Juices, lemonades, meals-in-a-bottle, snacks, meals, desserts! We truly enjoyed everything we sampled, and of course some items stood out as our favorites:
The Banana Brittle and No-Oatmeal cookie snacks. These were family favorites for sure. We snacked on them right out of the bag and also sprinkled on some coconut yogurt. These guilt-free snacks are perfect to satisfy a sweet craving and great to tuck in your bag for a quick bite while out and about (they are packed in zip-tight bags so no risk of spillage).
The meal-in-a-bottle juices, especially the Mint Cacao Chip and PB&J, had to be the boys favorites. Remember when I said “we enjoyed everything we sampled”? I wasn’t joking. The cold-brew coffee being the only exception, my husband and my two boys got in on every.single.item and let me know their opinion.
Speaking of Cold Brew, it’s all the rage here in Texas. I had it for the first time at Austin City Limits in 2013, and since then, I’ve sampled every cold brew I come across. The Urban Remedy Cold Brew Light is mixed perfectly with almond milk. Non-share worthy.
For meals, the spicy Spring Rolls and filling Zucchini Marinara are restaurant quality, fresh, and so so yummy. The Zucchini Marinara was one of the last meals I tried, a couple of days after the meals arrived, and it was still as crispy and fresh as if it was prepared minutes before.
Big thanks to the inspiring team at Urban Remedy for treating us to the items we sampled. We loved trying every single juice, snack, and meal, and are beyond fans.
