I am looking forward to the Culture Map Holiday Pop Up this Sunday, December 7th at Silver Street Studios – there will be food, music, gift wrapping, and 25 of Houston’s best local vendors all in one place. What a fun concept and great way to support and shop local. I’m especially looking forward to spending time with the amazing folks from Big Yoga and Big & Juicy Juice Bar. I visited their space for the first time week, and was blown away by their energy and creativity.
Big Yoga offers a full schedule of Baptiste yoga in two large heated classrooms. Big Yoga is committed to creating healthy bodies, open hearts and minds, and an empowered community that can generate real and positive world-wide change! Everywhere you look around the space is colorful and thoughtful and interesting. Everyone smiles at you and projects energy. I kind of didn’t want to leave – I wanted to settle in on one of the benches and soak in the positive vibes. You can tell there is a strong community with their members and team, and they want YOU to be a part of it.
Big Yoga has a robust retail section that really represents who they are as a brand. The clothing is fun, stylish, and comfortable. They carry lines like Hardtail and also make some of their own designs. They have lots of books and accessories – all which embody their message and spirit. I was particularly drawn to one of their tops – a wide neck gray sweatshirt that simply reads GRATEFUL across the chest. They are bringing this and a bunch of other darling items to the market.
I had my little guy with me on our tour, and he was so excited to see the Kids Yoga room. Big Yoga offers kids yoga classes at the same time as an adult class, so parents can enjoy some time while their kids are learning yoga and having fun in a safe and stimulating environment.
AND! Wait for this – they have their own in-house full-service juice bar, Big & Juicy Juice Bar. The menu is vast and sure to cure all that ails you, be a fresh juice or smoothie. They even have a kids menu. Graham had the “peace, love and rock & roll” and has now been saying this phrase about 20 times a day. Too cute.
I promise you want to check them out and learn more, so come by the market this Sunday, and be sure to stop by and say hello. You can shop all sorts of their clothing, accessories, and sample their juices. Want a free ticket to the Holiday Pop Up? I have some passes just for you!
