We’ve been enjoying our Little Passports World membership so much in the last few months. Having themed activities around has been a fantastic way to keep the boys entertained during our move – and our Little Passports map was one of the first items carefully moved from our temporary apartment into our new house.
Bennett is always so excited when we receive a new package from Sam and Sofia, the fictional characters who travel the world and send Bennett and Graham notes and souvenirs from their travels. The boys will run and grab their suitcase and passport so they can immediately apply the country sticker to the suitcase and the stamp to the passport. Kids + stickers = true love.
The Egypt package was way cool. Bennett had to dig out a tiny sculpture out of this pyramid. I have to admit, it took some major elbow grease, but boy did he enjoy the reward once he found his treasure.
And our most recent country was Australia. Bennett immediately identified Australia on our world map and proudly exclaimed, “Australia? I love Australia!” The activities are becoming more and more suitable for Graham to participate in, too. At two and a half, he’s often the patient observer to his brother’s antics, but with the sketch activities included for Australia, there was plenty of materials for them both to play along.
One of the main reasons why I love Little Passports so much for my boys is because I want them to be interested in learning about the world and grow up with a desire to travel. We love to travel with our kids even though it is a ton of work. We have an exciting trip planned for later this spring to Switzerland and England, and our whole family is currently gearing up for what will be our longest family-flights yet.
The very first thing Bennett did when I said we were going to Switzerland is run to his Little Passports map to look for it. He’s been noticing “London” mentioned in conversations and even in the Cars 2 plot and is quick to point it out to me, “Mama – they said ‘London’ – we’re going there!” I truly credit Little Passports with boosting his enthusiasm and knowledge of the world. And I want to share this! Simply fill out the Rafflecopter form below (or click the link that says ‘a rafflecopter giveaway’) to enter.
Good luck! xo
