Let’s file this whole post under home inspiration. I’m such a fan of Houzz and have been saving some pictures that embody the vibe I’m trying to create for our house. Our home has been in progress for years now – Rome wasn’t built in a day and neither was our house! We’ve been slowly decorating and filling the spaces of our home as budget allows, and the next item on our list is to bring some greenery into our house. I’m OBSESSED with these century planters and need help deciding – do I get a fiddle leaf fig tree or a snake plant? I’ve had my eye on fiddle leaf fig trees for years, but now that I’m shopping for planters, I’m inspired by the snake plant style, too.
The biggest consideration that I’ve been reading about is the light in our house. From all I’ve read, it seems as if the snake plant will be more resilient than the fiddle leaf fig tree, but I’ve also seen some pretty gorgeous faux fiddle leaf figs. How do we feel about that, though? I’m not sure. I think part of bringing in some green into the home is the dedication and discipline to keep the plants healthy, and benefit from the fresher air they help to create.
What do yo think?
