Have you ever spent hours in front of your computer researching camp and activity options for your kids only to become overwhelmed by the search process? Or, have you ever started a summer or winter break with the best of intentions and grand plans for outings, crafts, and baking together, and then, two hours into the first day, the kids are glued to a screen and you’ve already lost your inspiration? (I’m raising my hand because it’s happening *right now!*) It’s such a balance to keep the kiddos actively engaged but not over-scheduled during their much needed breaks.
Well Houston parents, this one is for YOU! (But really, the kids are the big winners here!)
Enter iQurious Kids: A platform that serves as a comprehensive guide for after school activities and camps for kiddos in the Houston area. Created by parents just like you and me, it’s a one stop shop – you can search by age, location and activity and the site pulls up everything available in your area, and by “your area” I mean your specific part of town. Houston is BIG, and the folks at iQurious Kids have sorted it down into every neighborhood and suburb and collected all of the camps and activities available in town and put them into one easily searchable site. It’s literally the ultimate online guide for kids camps & activities in Houston.
When we first moved to town, I created a spreadsheet of all the activities I would find online and research, and I thought I knew what all was available in town, UNTIL I looked through iQurious Kids and I found even more options. Sports & Art camps are my typical go-tos, but it’s fun for everyone to change up the routine a little bit. How about fencing or sewing OR science, OH MY! In just a few clicks, I’ve found several activities that my boys would LOVE, starting with Mad Science of Houston. Both of my boys are obsessed with science (B wants to be a “scientist and an inventor” when he grows up) and when you click through to the Mad Science of Houston Winter camp, you even get a discount code for signing up for their newsletter. I didn’t know they offered Friday night workshops & we are definitely going to try them out.
Thanks so much to the folks at iQurious Kids for this fantastic tool for busy parents! Go check it out & let them know I sent you.
