Hey mamas! This post is going to be a quick one because #1 I’m going to get right to the good stuff, and #2 WOAH, life is super busy right now, are you feeling me? It’s alllllll good – lots of sports and activities for the kiddos, and Spring has definitely sprung in my neck of the woods, in fact, it’s been in the high 80s with sunny skies for a couple of weeks now, so although the calendar says early April, I’m feeling confident breaking out the linen.

I looooooove linen for so many reasons – it’s soft, easy, and keeps cool in warm weather. I just really like the casual yet polished vibe of the fabric. Does it wrinkle easily? YES! And don’t worry about it. It’s the nature of the fabric – it will move and go with you all day. I’m pairing this striped linen shirt dress with a straw hat with a chambray wrap around it. I like the wide brim of the hat – gives more protection from the sun than a fedora style – and the light straw keeps it cool. Both the shirt dress & the hat are from the new collection at J.Jill and available online. I wear a hat as much as possible to keep the sun off my face, especially since I’m on the side lines of t-ball games, soccer games, and swim lessons everyday!
The shoes I have to tell you are a must-buy for this season. I waited too long on this style – which was my original choice – and it sold out right before my eyes in all colors. I had my heart set on this cognac color, so I went with this style called the Annie and I have to say I am loving it. The wedges are HIGH, but super light and I haven’t had any issues walking in them at all. They are definitely the IT shoe of the season and for good reason, so move quickly. There is also the super high end version here, and a more accessible price point by Steve Madden. They are all adorable, but the only ones I’ve worn are the Marc Fisher brand so that’s what I recommend. Zero blisters or any time needed to break in, too.
Last on my list for this easy peasy spring look is my new Texas tassel charm I added to my handbag from last season. I love adding a little something new to an old bag to make it feel fresh again. This charm came from Pomp & Circumstance boutique in Houston – – I love showing off a little Texas pride. It’s been nearly 4 years since we moved to this state and it feels like home more and more everyday. ESPECIALLY on days like this – blue skies, big bright sun, and coffee with a great friend.
So I started this post staying it would be a quick one and I have to say that actually matches this outfit – it is so easy and can go with you all day. I truly love one-piece Get the look here!
